AlaveAlamor Responsible Sourcing Policy
AlaveAlamor
By signing the visitor's log, all individuals visiting our premises agree to the following policy: AlaveAlamor is committed to following a sustainable long-term path and encourages its partners to do the same. Our policy focuses on social, environmental, and economic aspects, so the company is actively involved in various responsible initiatives within the jewellery industry. The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) is a regulatory organisation established to promote ethical, responsible, social, and environmentally sound practices, with respect for human rights, within the supply chain of gold, silver, platinum-group metals, diamonds, and coloured gemstones. RJC has developed reference standards (COP and COC) for the jewellery and watchmaking supply chains, which provide credible mechanisms to verify the adoption of responsible commercial practices through third-party audits. These standards, specifically targeted at the high-end jewellery and watch sectors, include the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas and its Supplement on Gold, the SA8000 Standard (Social Accountability International), which requires responsible and ethical sourcing practices, and adhere to the principles of the United
Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
As a member of these initiatives, AlaveAlamor is committed to conducting its operations in accordance with the RJC Code of Practices and integrating social, environmental, and human rights considerations into our daily operations, planning processes, and decision-making. AlaveAlamor carefully selects partners, suppliers, and subcontractors who fully comply with strict requirements set forth in contracts, including aspects related to safety, social responsibility, and environmental protection. These requirements also encompass UK-specific guidelines, such as the Modern Slavery Act, which explicitly prohibits forced labour, child labour, and other forms of exploitation. In addition, we adhere to the Swiss Ordinance on the Due Diligence Obligations of Companies Regarding Conflict Minerals and Child Labor, as well as the European Union Conflict Minerals Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2017/821), ensuring ethical and transparent supply chains. We support a clear and transparent supply policy concerning precious metals and gemstones, ensuring that materials are sourced from conflict-free and ethically responsible suppliers, as required by RJC, the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Responsible Sourcing Program, and the Fairtrade Gold Standard. All our suppliers must adhere to these principles and undergo periodic compliance audits. AlaveAlamor is fully committed to respecting international standards, including those set by the United Nations, the OECD, and local English and Swiss legislation. This ensures that the materials we source are free from human rights violations and are not linked to conflict zones.
